Downs & Dunks is an independent sports site for NFL and NBA fans. We cover the news, the schedules, where to watch every game, fantasy advice and simple explainers that make the rules easy to understand.
Our name says it all: downs for football, dunks for basketball.
What we cover
- NFL and NBA news: the stories that matter, explained clearly
- Schedules and TV listings: what time games start and which channel or app has them
- How to watch: simple guides to streaming services, prices and blackouts
- Fantasy football and fantasy basketball: start/sit picks, waiver wire adds and rankings
- Explainers: playoff formats, the draft, overtime rules, the salary cap and more, written for new and casual fans
- Team pages: every one of the 32 NFL teams and 30 NBA teams has its own page
Why we started
Big sports sites are great for breaking news, but they often assume you already know everything. We wanted a place where a fan, whether in the United States or anywhere else in the world, can quickly find a clear answer: When is the game? Where can I watch it? How does this rule work? Who should I start this week?
Every article tries to answer the reader’s question in the first few lines, in plain English.
How we work
- We check facts against official league and team sources and trusted news outlets, and we link to them where it helps.
- When we report a rumor, we say it’s a rumor.
- Schedules, prices and TV listings change, so we update our guides and show the date of the last update.
- We use AI tools to help with research and first drafts. Every article is reviewed, fact-checked and edited by a person before it’s published.
- If we get something wrong, we fix it and say so.
